Until the end of time

Lyrics from a beautiful song:
Although we go
Until the end of the road
Still I can’t let go
It’s so natural
You belong to me
I belong to you...

One of my friend, Irina, came yesterday from a long journey. She disappeared last year and we never knew what happened with her. Apparently she took-off with her new Moroccan lover to a foreign country, to Italy, better say. Love, love, love and so much more love was in the air.
Until… He decided they should go to his country, Morocco. Irina agreed as she didn’t know what to expect from this future experience. The flew there and she finally met his family. All milk and honey…
Until…she discovered she barely see him, they slept in separate rooms, he lied his family they were married in Italy, she could not go to the market without his mother and when they went together to buy something she was told to stay always behind him.
For an European woman it was a completely shock. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know how to act. His mother every day sat down to pray for her to get pregnant. In an yoga position, she shacked her fingers towards Irina, then in a mime gesture she showed her the sign of a big belly, evidently carrying a child. Again Irina got shocked.
One day, without having any money left, only a telephone number to reach, she called her sister-in-law, in Italy: “I want to leave this place, but I have no money, can you send me some or can you at least buy me a ticket?”
After three months of the strangest period of her life, Irina went back to Italy. After another five month she came back to Romania to see her family.
The relation-ship between them still exist. She’s still in love with him. He wants a child. But he wants to marry her in Morocco. My friend has to choose: a life as a slave, making children for a Moroccan family, or say good-bye and start all over again as a single, beautiful, 26 years old woman.
Can you imagine yourself giving up your religion, giving up your family, your hopes and dreams, just for the person you love more than your life? Or you get a room at The Heartbreak Hotel and heal yourself from your biggest break-down? Is the power of good-bye working always? Or shell we called it sacrifice and go until the end of the road along with our loved ones?

Not a single girl
But a single soul
